By 11:30 AM, you will reach Jaipur. Amber Palace is the first place that you will be exploring. It was built in the 16th century by Maan Singh who was the trusted general of Akbar. Maan Singh ruled the area surrounding the fort. This palace is located 12 KMs far from Jaipur. It will approximately take 30 to 35 minutes to reach there. Explore the palace and understand Amber Palace’s history.
After Amber fort, the next visit will be Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal is situated at Badi Chaupar. From Amber Fort, it will take approx 18 minutes to reach there. This was built in 1799 in a honeycomb shape, it has 953 windows on its outside walls. Beautifully carved windows are for the perfect ventilation throughout the palace. You will take around 30 minutes to explore the all-in-one Hawa Mahal.
After our Hawa Mahal visit, we will take an hour break for lunch.
The next visit will be Jantar Mantar. It is situated very near to Hawa Mahal, which will take 5 minutes maximum to reach there. This is an astronomical observation center which was used to measure the distance and position of celestial objects. Jantar Mantar is the largest observatories in India among other 4. There are 19 large instruments each serving a very specific purpose at Jantar Mantar. By reading the context of each instrument, you will understand the significance of each object. Don’t miss on Samrat Yantra, this is the largest sundial in India.
You will take hardly 1 minute to reach City Palace. City Palace is very vast and big and situated in Gangori Bazar. You need around 1 hour to explore the palace in a wholesome manner. City Palace is built in the center of Jaipur city. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh with his architects Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Shilpa Shastra built this palace and associated Jaipur city walls.
The last destination on the same day Jaipur tour by car is Jal Mahal. The place is located at a distance of approximately 5 Kms which can be reached within 15 minutes. It looks beautiful in the evening. It is a low-rise symmetrical palace which is known as a shooting lodge for the Maharajah, now floating in the center of Sagar Lake. You can enjoy the evening and stay for 1 to 1.5 hours.
