Golden triangle gives travelers coverage of nearly 720 KMs in the form of triangle on map with Delhi, Agra & Jaipur at points of triangle. By beginning with the tour in Delhi, the capital city of India the trip moves on to Agra, which houses one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal and finally ends at Jaipur, the pink city and the capital of Rajasthan. This is a six day journey with well planned breaks to enjoy the sights and feel of the various areas and the aim is to make the journey as comfortable as possible.

Details

On arrival at the Delhi airport, you will meet a representative. You will be dropped at the hotel, check-in and get some rest. Post that, you can go for a full day’s sightseeing of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Start with visiting the Red Fort which is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites, and then move on to Jama Masjid which is one of the largest mosques in India.  Explore the markets of Chandni Chowk & move towards Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, special focus will be paid to the colonial architecture of New Delhi and the visits to India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Residence) and Qutub Minar - a 70 meters high tower of victory built in the 12th century. At the end of the day, you will visit the ‘Humayun’s Tomb’ which is a perfect Mughal architecture. Overnight stay in Delhi.
On the second day, you will leave for Agra via road. This is a 4 hours’ drive from Delhi. Once you are there, check-in the hotel and take a short nap. In the afternoon, visit the Agra Fort which is the major and one of the oldest forts of India, where the Mughals lived in the main residence. Explore the magnificent palaces, the audience halls, the mosques.  Proceed to visit Taj Mahal next, which is known as the foremost amongst all the sights included in the Golden Triangle tour and is considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is a magnificent structure made of white marble which was constructed by the Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. While the evening can be spent shopping at local markets or simply at leisure at a hotel / resort. Overnight stay in Agra.
The third day appears to be packed with lots of interesting activities as you will be driven to Jaipur with a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri which is a world heritage site. This deserted city of the Mughals has some of the palaces and courtyards in excellent condition; it also has the Buland Darwaza which is an enormous gateway that is 54 meters high.  Add on your trip to Jaipur, the fascinating city of Rajasthan and also referred as the Pink City because of its pink buildings. On reaching, check in the hotel and relax for a while. Explore the local bazaars usually found in this city that has made a reputation for itself in the selling of handicrafts, textiles, and jewelries. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
You will explore the sightseeing in the royal city of India – Jaipur. Start with the Amber Fort which is located on a hilltop, has excellent architecture and offers an excellent view of the city. One can climb the fort on an elephant or in a jeep, and thereafter visit the beautiful palaces including the Sheesh Mahal or the Mirror Palace.  Head to the City Palace which is an architectural delight of Royal Rajasthan and Mughals built with a range of museums containing royal memorabilia. Not far from here, visit next to the Jantar Mantar which is a fascinating structure used to observe celestial bodies among other things and a world heritage site. For the last photo stop, visit Hawa Mahal which is actually built with 953 windows.
On day five, you will leave for Delhi. After breakfast, check-out from the hotel to start the journey to Delhi. On reaching, check-in the hotel and relax. On the way you can stop by one of the famous heritage hotels in India “Neemrana Fort Palace” which presents excellent views and a glimpse into the royal state of the country. For the remaining day, you can decide to visit and shop at the markets in Delhi, make some idea of the local food or simply enjoy your hotel.
The final day of your golden triangle tour is here and you should spend your time, probably early morning visiting any place of interest you have not visited yet or if you fancy shopping then you can head for some shopping in Delhi. Depending on your flight timings, you will therefore be driven to the airport to continue with the next further journey thus bringing to an end to the 6 days tour in India’s Golden Triangle.
