Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Bangalore to Agra –Transfer to the Hotel and Sightseeing

Your adventure will start with a flight from Bangalore to Delhi. The moment you arrive in Delhi, our executive and driver will meet you at the airport, and will leave for a 3-4 hours drive to Agra via road following the Yamuna Expressway. As soon as you arrive at Agra, check-in the hotel.

The first place you will visit will be the majestic Taj Mahal which is one of the symbols of love. Take the time to tour the stunning white marble tomb and know its history and architecture as well the real life story of its constructor Emperor Shah Jahan and the wife of Mumtaz Mahal. Do not miss taking the photographic shots when the sun is setting over the monument, thereby coloring the monument a warm red.

Next is the Agra Fort, popular Mughal architecture after the Taj Mahal. This magnificent red sandstone fort showcases the lifestyle of the Mughal emperors as it boasts of its halls, palaces and mosques. The fort has magnificent spacious courts and delicate sculptures and paintings; selected areas in the fort offer aerial views of the Taj.

In the evening, take a tour of the markets of Agra and do some shopping for marble crafts, textiles and leather work. Take a little time to taste the authentic local Mughlai food where you can have Kebabs, Biryani and mouth watering sweets. After this good dinner, go back to your hotel to have a comfortable sleep at night. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 2: Agra to Bangalore (More Sightseeing + Departure)

After breakfast, start the second day by Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb which is known as ‘Baby Taj'. This monument was built even before Taj Mahal was built and has aesthetic carvings and inlaid work to depict early Mughal architecture.

If you can spare some time go to Mehtab Bagh which is a beautiful garden opposite to the Yamuna river and Taj Mahal which is marvelous from this side. After this visit check out from your hotel by the late morning hours and start off for Delhi. On the way, get some more local pastries or have a few light meals. Reach the Delhi airport early in the morning so that you can catch your flight back to Bangalore that is in the evening.
