The best time to visit Jama Masjid in Old Delhi is in the early morning by 8 AM. Jama Masjid is a very peaceful religious place and you will feel very calm here. Now from Jama Masjid, visit Red Fort. It is 750 meters away from there via Meena Bazaar. One of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites is Red Fort. Red Fort opens at 9:30 AM for the public. It is a representation of India's history. Explore the architectural beauty and see the grandeur of this Mughal masterpiece. Take a look at the beautiful patterns and discover the significance of the famous Red Fort in history.
Raj Ghat is 1.8 KMs away from Red Fort. Driver will take you next here following the Nishad Raj Marg/Shantivana Marg. Pay your respects to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The site of Gandhi's cremation is marked by this placid memorial. Pause for a moment and enjoy the serene ambiance of this peaceful location.
Qutub Minar is 16.9 KMs away from Raj Ghat. It will take around 45 minutes to travel to Qutub Minar. You will reach here by 1 PM. Delhi's most well-known attraction is Qutub Minar. Explore the old minaret's beautiful carvings and feel them.
Now take a little break and have some local lunch in Delhi at 2 PM. Do try out old and popular restaurants here. You can choose as per the cuisine you want to eat.
After visiting Qutub Minar and completing your meal, we will leave for Humayun's Tomb. It lies at a distance of 13 Kms approximately. It will take about 30 minutes to reach here. It is another remarkable example of Mughal construction. Enjoy the verdant grounds and be in awe of the elaborate design of this tomb, which acted as a model for the Taj Mahal.
Lotus Temple is 5.8 KMs away from Humayun’s Tomb. It will take another 15 to 16 minutes to reach here. Discover the Lotus Temple, a well-known Bahá'í House of Worship renowned for its amazing design fashioned like a lotus and tranquil environment. Take some time to meditate or simply enjoy this unique building's splendor.
Next visit will be at Akshardham Temple. It is approximately 11 Kms away from Lotus Temple. You will reach there within 20 to 25 minutes by 6 PM. Discover the beautiful Akshardham Temple, an Indian art, architecture, and heritage showcase, a spiritual and cultural complex in the evening.
See the exquisite displays, sculptures, and carvings that portray a range of aspects of Indian spirituality and culture. Akshardham Temple looks beautiful in the evening with lights. There is a light and sound show as well here, you can attend that too. The show duration is 45 minutes and it is conducted after sunset, with the first show typically starting at 7:30 PM.
Best time to visit India Gate is in the late evening, from 7 to 9.30 PM. The distance between Akshardham to India Gate is 8.7 Kms which can be covered within 25 minutes. Have some ice cream at the side of India Gate. This is a memorial honoring Indian troops who gave their lives fighting in World War I. Pay your respects at this famous memorial, meander idly around India Gate's lovely gardens. At 9 PM, you can enjoy the light show without restrictions.
Once you are all done with the monuments visiting, the driver will pick you up at 10 PM from the India Gate. He will drop you at the hotel location by 10:30 PM.
