Details
On your arrival to Kochi, the driver will pick you up and drop you at the hotel location. Check-in and rest for a while. Post that, you will be exploring the historical attractions in Kochi. This includes Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace, and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Driver will take you to the Kathakali dance performance as well which happens in the evening.
On day 2, you will leave for Munnar. The distance between Kochi and Munnar is 131 KMs and it will take around 4 hours 32 minutes to reach Munnar. It is a hill station with tea plantations. You will find it very beautiful. Here, you will be exploring tea gardens, Echo Point, and the scenic Mattupetty Dam. Experience small walks with the beautiful mountains and relax. Post that, the driver will drop you at the hotel back, overnight stay in Munnar.
On the next day, you will be exploring the remaining attractions of Munnar. You will be visiting Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park. It is known for its Nilgiri Tahr population. Don’t miss the Tea Museum and here you can also learn about the tea-making process.
Next day, you will be traveling to Thekkady. The distance is 97.1 KMs and you will reach there in 2 hours 55 minutes. On reaching, your guide will explain about Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Don’t miss the boat ride on Periyar Lake. With a boat ride, you will be exploring the wildlife. You will spot elephants, bison, and various bird species here on Periyar Lake. Post that, experience the spice plantations in Thekkady. You can also do spice shopping here.
Day 5: Alleppey (Alappuzha)
On day 5, you will be heading to Alleppey. This is known for backwaters and houseboat cruises. Try the overnight houseboat cruise. Do explore and witness the backwaters and try traditional Kerala food.
